going to give this whole blogging thing another go. I have a few things I have been working on to write about, just need to sit down and sort through things. I have changed the theme as well.. not too sure about it, but it was  one of the better ones I found.

Its been about three years since I last posted, so another small delay won’t hurt

Mythbusters is back next Wednesday. There is a great interview on the reddit blog with Adam Savage. He did a good ted talk a while ago on his obsessions with the dodo bird and the Maltese Falcon.

I moved house and I am without my beloved broadband. I got myself a three modem… but to be honest.. it sucks. The connection is iffy, the speed is awful (it is meant to be a 3mb connection, but I am yet to see anything over 1mb) most of the time it runs at about 15-30KB.

I am going to get a land line and real broadband as soon as possible. From the looks of things I will be going with UTV. If anyone has a better suggestion, poke me.

I have posted some of my writings on my deviant art page: nabnerd.deviantart.com You will have to register with the site to view the stories. This is because the site rules on what they call “mature language”. So they are marked as having mature content. But meh, fuck them. I will not change the way I write just to have a lower rating.

The speakers on my ibook died a few days ago (the earphone jack works fine)… the thought that I should be replacing her has been milling around my mind for a while now. While it is not as fast as most modern laptops.. I still feel attached to her and don’t want to say good bye just yet. 

I have had this ibook for a little over three and a half years now, and.. ignoring the speakers, it is in perfect working condition. I only notice its age when I am streaming some of the higer quality media from the net.. or some flash based sites, but I can live without these things.. seeing as I have a Mac Pro sitting on my desk downstairs. 

I am thinking that I should do a clean install and use yuki (her name) for writing and general use when I am not at home.. ot just don’t feel like going to the mac pro to work. 

One the subject of writing. I have been trying to get back into it recently. I have always had a love / hate relenship with my writing… insofar as I love the act of writing.. and I hate everything I write. I posted some stuff I wrote on my wow guilds forums… not sure if I would ever post anything on the net for all to see….

I was fiddling with some things on the server and accidently killed the old blog. I am going to try and put more effort into this one.
